Mealime alternative

Mealime is closing. Here's a simple way to keep planning meals on a budget.

Mealime has announced it will be discontinued on October 21, 2026. If you relied on it to decide what to cook each week, Fridge Game Plan is one option worth trying. It works differently: instead of starting from a recipe library, it starts from the food you already have and your grocery budget.

Fridge Game Plan is an independent product. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Mealime, and it cannot import Mealime accounts, saved recipes or shopping lists.

What Fridge Game Plan does

  • Plans from what you have. Type or speak what's in your fridge, pantry and freezer, or start from scratch.
  • Fits your budget. Set your household size and budget; the plan shows meals for the week, a short grocery add-on list and an estimated cost per serving.
  • Keeps a pantry list. Save the items you have so you don't have to retype them every week.
  • Uses real store prices where available. Signed-in users can upload grocery receipts and report clearance deals. Reviewed prices are added to the price data the planner uses. Estimates still vary by location.
